Dunkin’ Donuts stops Dunkaccino, hot chocolate sales on salmonella fears

Filed July 2nd, 2009 joshua

Dunkin’ Donuts has stopped selling its popular Dunkaccino drinks, as well as hot chocolate because its supplier says they could be contaminated with salmonella.

The measure is only temporary, Dunkin’ Donuts officials said.

The supplier of the drink mixes is Plainview Milk Products Cooperative. The company just recalled all of its instant nonfat dried milk, whey protein, fruit stabilizers and thickening gums, made in the last two years, because the Food and Drug Administration found salmonella on the equipment used to produce it.
